Uber Driver Refuses To Drive Interns With MAGA Hats

A group of congressional interns were denied a ride by an Uber driver because they were holding ‘Make America Great Again’ hats on Tuesday night.

“I am more disappointed that I can’t hold my political beliefs without being scrutinized, being singled out and being downright disrespected,” Matthew Hardy, an intern with Rep. Bost, said.

Four interns requested an Uber near George Washington University because they were on their way to a monthly gathering of D.C. Trump supporters at the Old Post Office, according to the Washington Examiner.

One of the interns said that the driver had yet to start driving when he allegedly asked if their hats were MAGA hats. He then said, “I can’t do the ride,” the Examiner reported.

The harassment of Trump supporters is becoming an all too frequent trend. Earlier this month, a man stole a teenager’s MAGA hat and threw the kid’s drink in his face at a Texas Whataburger. (RELATED: Random Stranger Takes Kid’s MAGA Hat, Then Tosses Drink On Him)
