Shaquem Griffin Turning Down Media Requests Is A Baller Move

Seattle Seahawks draft pick and football sensation Shaquem Griffin won’t be doing too many media appearances throughout the offseason.

NFL Network reporter Ian Rapoport recently tweeted, “New #Seahawks LB Shaquem Griffin received an overwhelming number of media requests from all over the world — Chinese media, an Italian TV show, South American’s version of 60 minutes, etc. He’ll turn down almost all of ’em because it’s time to just work toward being an NFL player.”

I don’t know why, but I absolutely love this move. So many players would rush at the opportunity to have their name in front of the cameras, getting on television and being the center of attention.

We’ve always known Griffin is cut from a different kind of cloth. You don’t get to the NFL with only one hand if you’re not a special kind of person. I’m hoping like hell this guy makes it in the NFL. He’s such an inspiring dude.

He plays like a champion, only has one hand, played a major role in UCF going undefeated and is just an all-around stud. I think it’s safe to say that he’s an idol of The Smoke Room, and we’ll be cheering for him to tear it up in Seattle.
